Is it wrong to wear a snowman or Christmas themed sweater past Dec 25th?

I love the Holidays. I love Christmas. I love them both so much that I sometimes wear a holiday sweaters after the holidays. I have two favorite sweaters. One is blue with a big white snowman on it. It has bells and little snow globes on it that are filled with fake snow. The other is a bright red sweater with Santa and a sleigh on it. It too has bells small ornamentations on it. I have sometimes worn this sweater in Jan and Feb past the holidays. I even once wore it on the 4th of July. Someone recently told me this is bad taste. Is that true?

Is it wrong to wear a snowman or Christmas themed sweater past Dec 25th?
Hey Sweet G, do you know your husband is gay?
Reply:If television channels can show "Christmas in July" shows, you can wear your happy Snowman/Christmas sweaters anytime you want too!
Reply:No,its ok to wear it,we all have favorite clothes, some people are just too mean spirited.Look at them as being rude and unhappy.Sorry its still a free country and they need a life if that's all they can find to complain about.Enjoy your sweaters at least you will be warm lol.Merry Christmas.
Reply:Once the day after christmas sales are over pack them up till next year
Reply:Not wrong, but a fashion faux pas!
Reply:No you can wear whatever you want, even if it's after the holidays!
Reply:A Christmas themed sweater is NOT wrong to wear! If the fashion police start wagging their tongues, screw them. Tell them it's about Jesus, not them. But a snowman themed sweater is entirely appropriate for as long as you have snow outside!
Reply:This is how I see it and I hope this helps. The Eastern Orthodox Christmas is January 7th and there is Christmas in July but not usually until the end of July. So.....that being said. You can wear your Christmas sweater with Santa until January 7th appropriately, after that I would only wear it around the house if you are not going out. Or you can wear it at the end of July when all the retailers are having their Christmas in July sales. But really, other than that, I would not recommend wearing it. As for your winter sweater with the Snowman, you can wear that appropriately until March 20th, which is the first day of Spring. But again as with the Christmas sweater, you can still wear it around the house after that. I could imagine they would be quite cozy and warm on a cold rainy day. May I say though, atleast here, July is extremely hot and humid, I would never want to wear a sweater anytime from May until October. Just a thought. Enjoy your wonderful sweaters!
Reply:I don't see anything wrong with it I personally have a Mickey %26amp; Friends x-mas sweater that I always want to wear just because I love the holidays as well and see nothing wrong... My hubby and I also have a pair of clothes that match with eachother It also has a snow man on it and we wore that on Thanksgiving and some of our friends and even family members told us we where nuts is not x-mas yet we laughed also and said for us everyday of the year is a holiday because Jesus has gave us another beautiful day to live...

Happy Holidays to you and keep on wearing your Holiday gear thru out the year don't pay no mind top ignorant people...
Reply:Only if you live and breath in the fashion world. Don't sweat it, if you like it, and it makes you feel good then wear it. The snowman one is less of a holiday theme so it would be no real problem, but the Santa one might get you looks, but again if you are comfortable don't worry about people who have nothing better to do than to worry about what you are wearing!
Reply:Snowmen are not strictly Christmas symbols. You can wear that until the end of winter in mid-March.
Reply:I think the snowman is alright throughout the winter until the end of February. I think the santa is only in good taste til the end of December at the latest. Then it does become rather tacky.

I love my pajama's too, but there is a time and place for everything! I'd love to wear them all day every day, but it's inappropriate.

Edit: Katherine, could you please elaborate how santa is about Jesus?
