Don't you ever get sick of those whiny, trite, annoying Christmas songs you hear every year?

Every single year its the same thing. Jingle bells this and Santa Clause that. My God can anybody come up with any new good Christmas songs for the 21st century instead of those old soppy throwbacks? Now don't get me wrong but some of them are actually worth replaying every year. I know I sound like a scenic but I'm just speaking mt mind.

Don't you ever get sick of those whiny, trite, annoying Christmas songs you hear every year?
I totally understand what you are saying, you should only hear some of those songs once and thats it, like jinglebell rock, santa baby, the 12 days of christmas and all those variations, etc. they all start sounding the same with the bells in the background and some high whiny voice singing.
Reply:Nope, I love them all. But new ones are a good idea.
Reply:download,

christmas (baby please come home) by death cab for cutie. :]

%26amp; yes i understand exactly what you're saying. but the song above is nothing like those whiny annoying christmas songs.
Reply:Nope - I love Christmas music. But my kids do because I force them to listen to it in the car!
Reply:heres one that i hate

"and so this is xmas

and what have you done?

another year over

a new one just begun'

i hate that one more than anything

supposedly written after WWII

but it has no new value

i like some of the classics

and can stand some of the whiny ones for a little while

but i like the peppy ones more

the ones that make u happy

---feeling ur pain

merry chirstmas
Reply:Some of them are definitely worth retiring!
Reply:You have five days to change your attitude Mr. Scrooge. I love Christmas music, but can do without The Little Drummer Boy. It's so depressing to listen to, especially the version that David Bowie tries to do.
Reply:yes... I hate them all!

I hate Xmas carols, decorations, and the whole capitalistic bullcrap that is Xmas!

Humbug!
Reply:I love christmas songs! It just gets me in the spirit. GO to 106.9 for christmas songs! It's usually on this time of year.
Reply:Hey you guys, always on the classics. The one written at the end of WWII is going to be somewhat relevant now, Or has everyone forgot about our troops. Sure they play them over and over, one year in Ca, a radio station set up a poll, did people want the classics or would they stick with the regular program and only play a Christmas song once in a while. The station with in five minutes asked people to stop calling for a while, people jammed the lines and no one could get through.

Out of 25,000+ votes in the next week there were something

like 160 votes for the regular program. They then asked for votes on the best Christmas song, hands down it was "I'll Be Home For Christmas" followed by Silver Bells, Jingle Bells, White Christmas, Rockin' around the Christmas Tree, and some how two silly things called, "Grandma got ran over by a Reindeer", and Randolph the Red-necked Reindeer. Those two deserve special mention, they are hysterical.

You know the best way to get more "now" songs out there?

Someone has to write them, give it a shot. M.C.%26amp; H.N,Y.
