Does anyone know where I can find someone who appraises Barbies? I have1984 to1990something, lots more too.?

I have Hallmark editions Valentine,Avon Barbie Winter edition ,civilwar edition,another doll not Barbie is in box that says "Ole Cleminetine".All Barbies are still in box both are in pristine condition.Want to sell but have no idea how much to ask.Any information from a reputable doll collector who can give me some idea.Also Peter Rabbit storybook Barbie ,Beauty and the Beast Christmas Bell doll.Maybe someone can tell me of some sites where I can get some prices from. Thanx

The best way to judge what they are worth, is to look what other ones are selling for on E-bay, Yahoo Auctions, and from Amazon Sellers. Remember that in the 1980's and 1990's, Barbie made TONS of Barbies, and many of them were not limited editions, so even if you paid a fortune for them when you bought them, they might not be worth very much now. Some of the Holiday Barbies are still worth a lot, especially if you have the years where there was an obvious shortage.



The Hallmark Dolls and Avon Dolls will appeal to both Barbie collectors and Hallmark and Avon collectors, so you may be able to get more for them. Look each one up on a web site like E-bay and see what they are going for.

Reply:Yeah me and my mates started our own Barbie Appraisal business a year ago! It was an obvious thing to do given the gap in the Market! we also specialise in Beauty and the Beast collectables and Beatrice Potter memrobelia! Yeah right ofcourse we do - NOT! Get a grip man! Take em to one of these antique fairs / auctions or something! Jesus what a question!
