p.s Sparknotes doesn't tell you. And TY so much in advance!

In the Christmas Carol: what did Scrooge learn at this scenes?
well i'd say the answer to #3 is that when Bell breaks off the engagement, scrooge sees that his lust for money is taking him over, but he tries to ignore those feelings.
Reply:the story is one about the human heart, isolation the turns the heart cold and heard, taking him home to where he didn't want to be or felt loved, making him distant to relationships

bell breaking off the relationship made him hate, her, himself others, a continuation of the above mentioned... but bell finds happiness and he grew bitter at being left behind and in the cold. he could not have lived in that world and he knew it.

the party i don't remember well enough unless that is the nephew. if that is it, he would have found that his nephew loved him and he knew he did not deserve it and it resparked his humanity.

the story is one of the human heart and its condition. it can be melted but seldom in old age does it change, hense the visit by marney and the three ghosts.

also, don't take my word for this, i'm telling you what i think, as i love the story and have seen ever single play version made to date of it....but i liked the mr magoo version better than most of them
