So this Christmas my family had about 10 or so people over for Christmas "dinner" (okay, our "dinner" was at like 2:00 but whatever). Everyone there was either family or VERY close family friends.
Anyway my dad became adament on singing Christmas carols (I come from a very musical family; my dad and my uncle are in a jazz/blues band, and two of the other Christmas dinner guests are in the band with them). He brought up the keyboard and bells and a harmonica and everything... and started singing "we wish you a merry christmas" really loudly, while smiling really goofily and tapping his foot extra loudly ...it was so embarassing!
no one actually wanted to sing christmas carols, we all sort of gave each other an "oh god what's he doing now" look, and refrained from singing at first, but eventually we sang along anyway.

Hello, i just have to say, i think my dad beats yours.
In the middle of dinner (with our family friends!), he decided it would be funny to stick green beans up his nose.
i about had a heart attack i was so humiliated. it was AWFUL.
