Reply:Ramadan is a time of introspection through fasting and prayer. Eid is the holiday which is celebrated for a period of 3 days following the end of Ramadan. This time is celebrated by visiting family and friends, exchanging gifts, giving to charity and putting up decorations. Fasting is not exclusive to Islam, it's practised in many other faiths because of it's spiritual benefits.
In Judaism, fasting is required during Yom Kippur. It's described as an opportunity to focus on and nurture the spiritual self, and ask forgiveness for past sins. Other fasts include Tisha B'Av, Seventeenth of Tammuz, Tenth of Tevet and Fast of Gedaliah.
In Christianity, the goal of fasting is also described as a way to connect with God by "replacing the feeding of the needs of physical hunger with the feeding of one’s spiritual hunger." Jesus fasted from all food and drink, except water (Luke 4:2). Some of the reasons why Christians fast is to demonstrate their satisfaction in God alone (Luke 4:4), to request God’s help (Samuel 12:16; Esther 4:16; Ezra 8:23), and to turn from sin (Jonah 3:5-10; 1 Kings 21:25-29).
Reply:I gotta say, your song left me in stiches, proper funny! BUT, its a bit rasict, and im sure you could have put this question forward in a less offensive way. so a slap on your wrist for that!
Reply:Actually,we Muslim doesn't have song like that.
we always pray to our god for forgiveness..
And hope we can get into the heaven....peacefully...
Reply:There is a special door to heaven for people who fasted.
This is one of the causes that could help enter heaven through that door.
Reply:Yes, We do but it don't go like that. Hehe, nice try though!
