Reply:I like Christmas but i do agree that Christmas songs are soooo... annoying.

But if you really hate it think of it like that: think that it is not a time for Christmas but a time for your birthday and everyone is preparing for your celebration. and that is why you will have days of work and everybody will be perfectly happy about it and more than that you will get some presents and really nice food, maybe some drinks as well. And probably you will meet with people you love (sometimes with people you don't love as well), but you will definitely have lots to gossip around about weird family members...

Remember not to listen to the radio, avoid television too and stay away from shops (they play the worst music ever)

Reply:I find your opinion interesting and must wonder if you approach life in general the same way. You say, "the same old crap every year", many of us would call that tradition. You say, "if you must try and insult...", as though you expect your comments to be offensive and then follow with condescending and insulting remarks yourself by accusing those who would respond of not have the ability to come up with an original thought and calling people "stupid sheep". If you don't like being insulted why do you try so hard to offend? Some find the Christmas season a time of belonging. I know many people who are not Christian that celebrate the holiday season. Enjoying the camaraderie, togetherness, friendship and yes, even the traditions of Christmas does not automatically make a person stupid. We are social creatures. Christmas is a social time. I would suspect that you see the glass half empty in general and I'm sorry for you. A little joy goes a long way. That which we seek, we usually find. And, if you're going to call everyone stupid, unoriginal, incapable, etc., perhaps you should present your own argument with a little dab of intelligence. You'll have much more credibility. A little punctuation, good grammar, maybe a little work on your sentence structure, and a little original thought on your part would help your argument along delightfully. Oh, and by the way, Merry Christmas.

Reply:personally i gotta agree with ya, christmas = a reason to spend loads of money on ungrateful people who dont give a toss about you unless you buy them the latest game/mp4 player/clothes/designer gear, so why bother with the prats, me and the missus have cancelled the traditional turkey bs and are doing it our way, a lazy day enjoying what we want for a change, a few drinks between ourselves and f*** the world, our door is closed to all for the duration, as for the shops i hope they lose loads of money this year, we provide our kids with stuff all year round, so theres nothing special about xmas gifts as far as were concerned, we just avoid the mad stampeding herds of idiots who want to get the gear to show how rich they are to all their little saddo buddies, as for christmas being the celebration of christs birth, well due to the changes in the calendar system ( julian or gregorian) they havent even got the right supposed date, they "think" he was born about the 22nd or 23rd of december not the 25th, just another convenient way of gettting a holiday off work i guess, but then again being a scroogy humbug, you'll be working hard cos you dont believe in christmas do you? so you wont be entitled to any time off .................LMFAO

Reply:Yeah ok, so it gets old and depressing but i think we have christmas for the kids. They deserve a little time on the planet where magic is real and Santa exists. You'll probably tell me that all children are spoiled and get too much for christmas but that's not the case in the majority of homes. Kids need time to be naive and ignorant to the ways of the world we live in. You don't have to celebrate but don't ruin it for everyone else who loves the time with their families.

P.S. I hate that i sound like an advertisment for christmas but you did ask.............
Reply:Christmas does get more irritating the older you get, but it's not a load of sh*t. You can stand back and say everyone is a lemming following everyone else, they're following a tradition. I see nothing wrong with that. It's good to bring a bit of cheer to bleak midwinter days. It's good to meet family and friends that you don't get to see at other times because you're too busy or you live far away from each other.
