Do you know this Christmas carol?

It's called: On a Starry Night

Here's some of the lyrics.

I think there are two or three or four verses. Again I can't remember.



I've got three other questions: How well known is this carol? Would I able to buy it on CD? Could you list the CDs that it is on?

It is a very popular carol in my church used by the teenage group.

It is on several CD's and if you Google "on a Starry Night" you will get several references.

Reply:Honestly, I have never heard that song before, and I am a Christmas song junkie. I listen to the all-Christmas radio station all day long, I work as a Santa's helper at the mall and a lot of choirs come and sing for us throughout the evening, and I actually was even in the church choir singing Christmas carols when I was a kid, so if I haven't heard of it, you can bet not many people have. It may be a challenge to find it on CD, but you could maybe locate sheet music for it at a music store that sells instruments, as they tend to have specialty Christmas songbooks, etc.

Songs written and composed by Joy Webb and recorded by the Joy Strings. Captain Joy Webb was the founder and leader of the group. She plays guitar and keyboard and is a good singer as well. Her ability as a songwriter shows a good sense of the melody. - This song is one of them and she was in the Salvation Army.

I can't find this on Amazon - it is very obscure.
